Good news to candidate’s those who not attend Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), this time they have a chance, Minister for Human Resources Department Ganta Srinivasa Rao participated in a review meeting with the education officials here on Monday. He said the government was planning to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) again to give a chance to more aspirants for DSC, before August.

The government of Andhra Pradesh has released notification for AP TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh in the Month of May 2018.

What Is The Eligibility Criteria For Writing TET?

The candidates at the time of applying for APTET, December 2017 should be in possession of the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for I to V classes (Paper-I) & VI to VIII classes (Paper-II) as given below.

The candidate at the time of applying for APTET-May 2018 should be having the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for category I to V classes (Paper-I) and VI to VIII classes (paper-II) as given below or should be pursuing Teacher Education Course during 2018 or earlier.

Minimum Qualifications To Apply

  • Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education OR

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*

 

*Note: Relaxation of 5% or such percentage as permitted by Govt. at the time of admission to Teacher Education Course concerned in minimum qualifying 5 marks at Intermediate / Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/ Differently abled Candidates.
